The Catawba Ridge High School Band will represent South Carolina at the 2024 London New Year’s Day Parade. One of the world’s largest celebrations ringing in the new year, Catawba Ridge HS follows Coastal Carolina in 2023 and Batesburg-Leesville in 2015 in continuing SC’s strong tradition of performances in this international event (Riverside HS was scheduled to perform at the 2021 edition before the event was canceled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic).
The London New Years Day Parade attracts over 500,000 spectators locally and hundreds of millions more watching on television across the world. It attracts bands from all over the world, and this year Catawba Ridge lines up as the 25th of the 75 performers in the parade.
How to Watch the Parade Live
The parade starts at noon in London, which translates to 7:00 am EST. Thankfully, there are plenty of free and accessible ways to watch the parade –
Youtube – The parade will have an official YouTube live stream – YouTube Link
PBS – Certain PBS affiliates will broadcast the parade free on over-the-air TV. We recommend checking with your local PBS station schedule to confirm if the parade will be broadcasted in your area. In addition, the parade should be viewable on the PBS Online player at pbs.org/livestream or on the PBS TV app.
Congratulations to the Catawba Ridge HS Band on your performance!
