In a press release on the SCBDA website, President Leah Cordé of Columbia stated that the current forecast would not impact the schedules of the Upper and Lower State Preliminaries for classes 1A-4A to be held this Saturday at venues around the state.

President Cordé informs in the release that “we will monitor the weather closely at all sites and the Site Coordinators, along with Executive Board members, will make decisions as needed.”

The venues for this weekend’s competitions will be: Belton-Honea Path HS in Honea Path for 1A and 3A Upper State, Hartsville HS in Hartsville for 1A and 3A Lower State, Boiling Springs HS in Boiling Springs for 2A and 4A Upper State, and White Knoll HS in Lexington for 2A and 4A Lower State.
